These terms govern use of kitengefest.com, the website of the Kitenge Fashion Festival. The Festival is held in Eldoret. The edition presented on the site is the 9th, in the spirit of Buy Kenya, Build Kenya.<\/p>\n

By using the site you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy<\/a>. If you do not agree, please do not use the forms.<\/p>\n

The website<\/h2>\n

The site publishes information about the Festival, its team, its partners and its editions. It also carries a contact form, application forms for models, designers and sponsors, and a nominations form. What those forms collect, and why, is set out in the Privacy Policy.<\/p>\n

Tickets<\/h2>\n

Tickets are sold on Shika Ticko: shikaticko.co.ke<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Price, payment, delivery of the ticket, entry to the grounds and refunds are a matter between you and that seller. This website does not take your card payment and does not set the seller’s refund rules. Read the seller’s terms before you pay.<\/p>\n

Designer registration on Groove<\/h2>\n

A designer registration form is offered at groovehq.co.ke\/apply\/designer<\/a>. That form runs on that site, under its own terms. These terms do not govern it. The Call for Designers form published on this website is a different form, and these terms do apply to it.<\/p>\n

Applications sent on this website<\/h2>\n

The Call for Models, Call for Designers and Call for Sponsors forms are on this website. Sending one is a request to be considered. It does not promise a place, a fee or a selection. We may accept, decline or ask for more information.<\/p>\n

You confirm that what you send is true, and that you have the right to share any photograph, portfolio or link you attach. Letting us review a portfolio does not give us the right to publish it. If we want to use an image of you or your work in publicity, we will ask you first, unless you have already agreed in writing.<\/p>\n

An application in the child-model category, ages 4 to 12, must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.<\/p>\n

Nominations<\/h2>\n

A nomination is a suggestion for an award. It is not a vote that we are obliged to count in any particular way, and it does not mean the person will be shortlisted. Nominate only a person you are content to name for this purpose.<\/p>\n

Acceptable use<\/h2>\n

Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to break, overload or bypass the security of the site. Do not use a form to send unlawful content, or to send someone else’s personal data without a proper reason. Do not copy the site in order to impersonate the Festival.<\/p>\n

Photographs, the poster and the logo<\/h2>\n

The text, logo, poster and photographs on this site belong to the Festival or to the person credited for them. You may share a link to a page. You may not copy the poster, the logo or the photographs for your own commercial use without written consent from the owner.<\/p>\n

A designer, model or photographer who supplied an image keeps the rights in that image, apart from the limited review described above.<\/p>\n

Event information<\/h2>\n

Dates, the venue, the programme and the names of participants can change. The page on the site is the current public note. Check it again before you travel or buy a ticket. The venue named for the Festival is Rupa Mall Grounds, Eldoret.<\/p>\n

Liability<\/h2>\n

The site is published in good faith as information. To the extent Kenyan law allows, the organisers are not liable for loss that comes from relying on a detail we later correct, or from a third-party site such as the ticket seller or Groove.<\/p>\n

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that the law of Kenya does not allow us to limit or exclude.<\/p>\n

Law and disputes<\/h2>\n

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. The courts of Kenya have jurisdiction. Please email info@kitengefest.com<\/a> first so we can try to put the matter right with you.<\/p>\n

Changes<\/h2>\n

We may update these terms by posting the new version on this page and changing the date at the top. The new version applies to use of the site after that date. A form that has already been sent stays covered by the terms and the Privacy Policy in force when you sent it.<\/p>\n
